What are the requirements for the tando stabilizer to fit onto my car and caravan?

To fit a tando to your caravan, it must have an A-frame. With the standard tando kit the tando car bracket needs a backing plate to be attached to the towbar, for example a swan neck towbar does not have a backing plate to attach it to. If your vehicle does have a swan neck towbar, we have a solution for you. We can offer you a R230 discount on purchasing a Xramp swan neck bracket directly from the supplier. Up to what weight can the tando stabilizer handle?

The Tando stabilizer are designed to handle up to 3,5 tons.

Do I need to torque my new tando?

The new tando is factory torqued as specified on the stabiliser arm at 38Nm, and ready for use as is when bought new. Used tandos must be torqued once a year depending how frequently it is used.

How do I maintain my tando?

Stabiliser must be overhauled thoroughly at least once a year or after 2000 km of towing.  See instructions included with your tando for specifications.

Can I install the tando myself?

Yes, the tando stabilizer comes with easy-to-follow instructions. Instructional video also provided on Website and Facebook page.
